What a pleasure to create the Wild Goose Chase 2018 jersey!
Born and raised in Maryland, I've bicycled, driven, walked, and kayaked through Blackwater Wildlife Refuge with friends and family. The Wild Goose Chase was one of the first organized rides I did with my cycling pals, the Sassy Sisters, and later it was one of my first vending events as the owner and founder of SassyCyclist.
My plan was to create a bespoke jersey design with elegant imagery befitting the beautiful flora and fauna of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and at the same time, making sure that it's fun and lively like the WGC! The reed grasses in blue, green, and yellow watercolors serve as the main motif since they’re the predominant plants growing in this brackish tidal marsh. The Refuge is a wetland sanctuary along the Atlantic flyway so an abundance of waterfowl makes the area a seasonal home. Given that, and the ride’s namesake, it was only right to include geese in the design. Gaggles of them on blue sky background form fun, lively stripes along the sleeves and rear pockets. Goldenrod colored binding pulls the look all together!
The jerseys will be made just like all of previous Sassy jersey collections, with the same soft performance fabric and features, such as a feminine-friendly fit, full zipper, 2 rear pockets, retro-reflective trim down the back, and binding on the sleeves and hem. If you already have a Sassy jersey, you know what to expect. If you don't, see what they're all about in The Jersey.

The all-important question! Fully aware of the wide and frustrating discrepancies in cyclewear sizing, we put a lot of effort into creating a collection that matches regular clothing sizes. You do not need to automatically size up. Please see the Size Chart.
